The muses returned when I was unwell. Someone gave me a set of chalk pastels, and the two things came together to help me to produce this series of Art works.

South Brittany skies are the main inspiration, such drama, delight and beauty, even in the dark clouds. We are to look up, watch and see the stage play unfold, as the mighty pillars of water vapour, many tons heavy, dance out their magnificent performance across the vast expanse of colour.

It is impossible to remain unmoved. We look, with open eyes, and to feel our utter smallness and lack of any real control over the elements…
